It has been developed to bond low surface energy plastics such as polypropylene and polyethylene - with no primer or expensive surface treatment required. It can also be used to bond a wide variety of other materials such as metals and composite materials and ideal for bonding dissimilar surfaces.
TA4610 is a substitute / backup formula for these formulas:
- 3M DP8005
- 3M DP8010
- Scigrip SG400 LSE
Features and Benefits:
- Adhesion to a wide variety of substrates
- Thick Gel Formula, Thixotropic, Non-Sagging, Gap-Filling
- Full cure at room temperature
- Set time is 12-15 min
- Bonds to polyolefins
- No primer required
- No need to flame-treat or plasma treat-surfaces before bonding
- Excellent impact & sheer strength
- Excellent chemical resistance
Ideal Surfaces / Works With:
- Most Metals (Mild Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminum, etc)
- Most Plastics & In particular the hard-to-bond Low-Energy Plastics
- Composites
- Carbon Fiber
- FRP (fiber reinforced plastics)
- GRP (glass reinforced plastics)
- ABS,
- Polycarbonate
- PVC
- PA6
- PET-G
- PE-P
- EPDM & Rubbers
- E- Coatings
- Polypropylenes (PPCO, PPHO, and related)
- Polyethlyenes (LLDPE, LDPE, MDPE, HDPE, UHMW, etc)
- PTFE / Nylon
